Tribute to Pat Graham

Members of the Cleator Moor Town Deal Board were saddened to hear of the passing of Pat Graham, Chief Executive of the former Copeland Borough Council.
Pat was instrumental in helping to secure a Government Town Deal for Cleator Moor.
Bob Metcalfe, Chair of the Cleator Moor Town Deal Board, said: “Personally and on behalf of the board I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Pat Graham.

“Pat was passionate about Cleator Moor – the town she had grown up in – as she was about West Cumbria more widely. She was a huge believer in the people of this area and in the power of community.
“Pat fought to make sure the area was first in line to benefit from a raft of opportunities that secured tens of millions of pounds in funding including £40.9 million for the Cleator Moor Town Deal.
“Her vision for the area was bold and bright and the fruits of this hard work will bring untold benefits for so many people for generations to come.
“Our sincerest condolences go to Pat’s family and friends and all who knew her.”
